United for Ukraine gala Dinner

I am grateful for this experience and look forward to participating in more events like this in the future. I want to thank everyone who supported us in our effort to show solidarity with Ukraine.

Together, we were able to raise an impressive $83,975, which is remarkable! After covering all event expenses, we raised $51,537 for our major aid projects, including sending medical supplies to Ukrainian hospitals, providing equipment to Ukraine's defenders on the frontline, and supporting children and families in Ukraine through "Project Liza."

The live auction raised $13,553, and the silent auction raised $11,757. It's incredible and shows the power of coming together for a good cause. I also want to express my gratitude to our sponsors, volunteers, and partners who helped make this event successful. It was a truly wonderful event filled with warm Ukrainian hospitality and extraordinary support for Ukraine.

As the Art department lead, I played a key role in developing the conceptual brief and designing various printed products such as placement cards, brochures, and appreciation lists. Despite having a limited budget for decorations and design, our team worked tirelessly to create a memorable event. Decorating 22 tables, each with five vases, put our team's creativity and resourcefulness to the test.

Thanks to the support of the Vancouver community, we were able to obtain a collection of old vases, which we carefully remade by hand to create 120 unique pieces. Volunteering for this event allowed me to connect with many Ukrainians in Vancouver and gave me a greater sense of community.
